Choose Her

This is not a finish line.
It’s a practice.

A daily decision
to stop abandoning yourself
and begin again — gently, honestly.

For every woman reclaiming her life —

You, Me, She, Her —
this is where it begins.

Because surviving was never the destination.

Learning to live from the inside out was.

This Life Is Hers.

This is deeply personal for me too — and it’s where my story begins.

Why This Exist

About Me — Becoming Her | Rooted & Rising

Little do we realize how the experiences of childhood quietly shape the women we become.
What we survive early on doesn't disappear—it settles into our bodies, our beliefs, and the choices we make long before we're aware it's guiding us.
I grew up learning survival before safety.
I experienced physical abuse as a child, which eventually led me to run-away, pass-through a children's shelter, and live in a group home at a young age.
There were moments when the path ahead could have gone very differently.
Had it not been for the love and grace of a few friends—and their parents—who saw me, protected me, and stepped in when I needed it most, my story could have ended very differently.

The Mask

“The Woman” Who Thought She Had It Together”

My first marriage… a cycle I didn’t yet know how to break.
The only light that came from it was motherhood—my daughters, the heartbeat and soul of my being, the part of me I could always hold sacred.
My second marriage was everything I thought I wanted—my prince charming, the love I believed would last a lifetime.
I pursued a career I poured myself into, one I worked hard for and loved fiercely… until the love, the passion, and the certainty quietly unraveled.

I became fluent in smiling through pain, pleasing to be accepted, surviving what I never had the safety to speak aloud, and carrying a strength no one questioned—even as it quietly broke me.”

Inside, I was tired in ways rest couldn’t touch. Disconnected from myself. Quietly questioning everything I had built my life around.”

The Break

“My body spoke when my spirit could no longer stay quiet.”

One night, I woke unable to breathe. An ER visit. Tests. Fear. A panic attack that changed everything.
Our children were grown and beginning their own lives, and the house suddenly felt too big for just the two of us.
We chose to downsize, to move somewhere new, hoping a fresh start might help.
It wasn’t a quick fix. I spiraled.

The Promise

This is a space of gentleness, not urgency.

You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin.

You are not here to be fixed — you are here to be honored.

Your story matters, even the parts you’re still afraid to look at.

You are allowed to choose yourself, one honest moment at a time.

Nothing here asks you to rush or become someone you’re not.

Only to remember that the story you’ve lived does not have to be the story you carry forward.

The Awakening

My daughter suggested yoga—and at first, I didn’t know what I was stepping into.
What began as simple curiosity quickly turned into something deeper.
I didn’t want to just practice yoga; I felt called to understand it.
To learn its history, its roots, its purpose.
On my first yoga retreat in Costa Rica, something quietly shifted within me.
I began to notice the signs—the soft confirmations that I was exactly where I needed to be.
It wasn’t loud or dramatic; it was gentle, steady, and reassuring.
Every sunrise, every breath on the mat, every unexpected conversation felt like a whisper from the universe saying, you’re safe, you’re supported, keep going.
There was a sense of surrender that came naturally.
I didn’t need to rush or force clarity.
The answers arrived in stillness—in the warmth of the air, the rhythm of nature, the way everything unfolded with ease.
I felt guided, not pushed.
Held, not hurried.
That experience taught me to trust the pace of my journey.
